If Farmers Fail So Do We All

I come from a rural background and know farming more than the average city dweller (I moved to Tokyo off of a Canadian farm) and looking at city dwellers charging enormous amounts of money to each other for basically squat, it is really clear to me that these people have no idea that farming forms the basis of their lives by providing food. Tokyo, New York, London and increasingly Shanghai are the world's financial hubs but all of that means nothing with no food from farms.
