Every year there are millions of accidents around the home that are yard and garden related. 100,000 of those accidents are major accidents related to a gas powered lawnmower. Lawnmower blades can run up to 100 to 200 miles per hour. That kind of power spins the steel blades up to 2,000 to 4,000 times per minute.~~

You should always take the time before mowing the lawn to walk around the yard and pick up any toys, rocks, or other things laying around your yard. Doing this will help prevent hitting something and sending it flying at someone or something. Making it extremely dangerous to yourself and others. As an extra precaution, you should wear safety glasses.

You should also wear safety glasses when using weed eaters, hedge clippers, and any other activity where there is a risk of something flying in to your eyes. If you misuse these kinds of yard tools it can result in serious injury or death. You should also know what is going on in your yard when working. Keep an eye out for kids or pets. Keep your self and others safe.
