Lawn Lizards | Lawn Care & Landscaping Service | Orange Park, FL Interview Name of your website?Lawn Lizards | Lawn Care & Landscaping Service | Orange Park, FL Your name? Dave Kollasch Your Location (city, etc) Orange Park Please give us a short summary of your website? Lawn Lizards is an established lawn care and landscaping service in Orange Park, Florida. We also specialize in non-invasive tropical clumping bamboo sales and installation.~~ What inspired you to launch your own website? Learning the effectiveness of promoting a local business inspired me to create the Lawn Lizards Web site. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? 2006 and it was the Lawn Lizards Web site. How did you decide on a name for your website? It was the name of our already established lawn maintenance business. What makes your website different from other, similar offerings? Many area lawn services do not have a Web site, so it is a competitive advantage for us to have a Web presence now. Our Web site is also visually appealing and easy to use. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) Keep it to promote our landscaping business and bamboo sales/installation. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? We've had far more success than time and money invested in our Web site. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? I would add more advanced interface design and also an option to accept payment online. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? Not without more staff. What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? Not many as our site is not too extensive and we are not under intense deadlines. What has been your biggest challenge? Enduring long hours of research for link building and other SEO/promotional efforts. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? Search marketing and link building via directory submissions. How has running your website differed from your expectations? Laying the foundation has been the hardest, but once we got the basics down, it's been pretty automated. How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity? Since 2006. Until we either sell the business or get tired of it. What is your website address? Lawn Lizards | Lawn Care & Landscaping Service | Orange Park, FL |
