A photo mosaic

A group of numerous photos that are put together to form a big image is called a photo mosaic. It's actually a photo collage that are grouped together according to color to make the bigger image stand out.

I think there's already a software that can automatically create a photo mosaic that will form a large central image but I'm not sure what it's called.

Photo mosaics make very good gifts for birthdays or when you give a tribute to someone for being a major part of your life. It is always touching to know that other people care enough to come up with a gift like this for you.
