Little Green Boutique Interview

Name of your website?

Little Green Boutique

Your name?

Michelle Crawford

Your Location (city, etc)

leek

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Organic cotton and fair trade children's clothing boutique and gifts.~~

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It was the a combination of the desire to find and sell, well manufactured practical, stylish yet robust children's clothing and to reach a wider audience.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2007 Little Green Boutique was our first.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was hard to find a name that was right but Little Green Boutique felt right and it said what we are about.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We source our clothing carefully so that it is well manufactured, practical in design and road test it on our children. We offer a friendly efficient service and you can guarantee quality

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To source new clothing ranges and expand further, maybe into nursery ranges.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The business was intense time wise at first, as it took a lot of time and effort to put the web site together. But now it is relatively easy to manage and enjoyable too.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Increase our stock. There are so many exciting innovative children and baby clothing manufacturers and designers it would be great to be able to stock more of them.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes I would like to think so. If that were to happen it would be a very exciting time for us. We would like to think we could rise to the occasion.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None at the moment, luckily

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting Little Green Boutique out there! So people can find us.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Probably adding the site to directories like yours!

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It can be frustrating sometimes.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It has been going for two years now. We hope to continue for as long as we can.

What is your website address?

Little Green Boutique
